We continue to the Písac archaeological site, where the guide will explain the most relevant aspects of Inca architecture: hillside agricultural terraces, stonework, and ceremonial structures. After the visit to the archaeological site we descend to the town of Písac to explore the local craft market, with free time to browse and shop.
From Písac we continue approximately 40 minutes by transport to a local restaurant in the town of Urubamba for the buffet lunch, which includes local products such as quinoa, corn, potatoes, alpaca meat, trout, vegetables, ceviche, and desserts.
After lunch we drive 30 minutes along the Urubamba River to Ollantaytambo. The guided visit to the Ollantaytambo archaeological site lasts approximately 2 hours and covers terraces, temples, Inca structures, and the rock formation on the mountain representing the Inca god Wiracocha.
From Ollantaytambo we walk 10 minutes to the train station (2,800 m.a.s.l.), where we board the train to Aguas Calientes. You can choose between the Expedition Train or the Vistadome Train according to your preference. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes with views of the valley and cloud forest, arriving in Aguas Calientes (2,000 m.a.s.l.).
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes a representative will meet you at the station and accompany you to the hotel. You will have the afternoon free to explore the town or visit the thermal baths. In the evening the guide will provide information about the following day’s program.

After breakfast we leave the hotel and walk 5 minutes to the bus station. From there we take the tourist bus for 30 minutes up the winding road to the Machu Picchu archaeological site (2,400 m.a.s.l.).
Upon arrival the professional guide begins the guided tour of approximately 2 hours, covering the main plaza, terraces, Inca dwellings, storehouses, water fountains, and the ceremonial sector of the site.
