Today, this valley stands as one of the most visited destinations in Peru, drawing both domestic and international travelers who come captivated by the grandeur of its archaeological ruins, the breathtaking landscape of its snow-capped peaks and mountains, and the deep cultural richness felt at every step of the journey. Along the way, the artisan markets of communities such as Pisac and Ollantaytambo round out an experience that seamlessly blends history, nature, and living tradition into a single unforgettable tour.

Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO – PISAC – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO.
- We will pick you up at the central fountain in the city of Cusco at 7:30 a.m. to board our tourist transport, which departs at 7:45 a.m. heading northwest. After approximately 45 minutes on the road, we will reach our first stop at the Taray Viewpoint, where you will take in a sweeping panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- Continuing for another 25 minutes, we will arrive at the archaeological complex of Pisac (10,826 ft / 3,300 m.a.s.l.), where we will spend approximately one hour exploring its terraces, temples, and Inca structures. Afterward, we will head down to the town of Pisac (9,514 ft / 2,900 m.a.s.l.) for a 30-minute stop at its well-known artisan market.
- We will then travel for one hour to the town of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch at a local tourist restaurant.
- In the afternoon, we will drive approximately 30 minutes to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo (8,858 ft / 2,700 m.a.s.l.), located 56 miles northeast of Cusco. We will spend two hours exploring the site accompanied by the detailed explanations of our professional guide. The climb requires a moderate level of effort, but the reward is well worth it: a stunning view of the town, the river, and one of the most remarkable examples of Inca architecture anywhere in Peru.
- We will then travel one more hour to the town of Chinchero (12,795 ft / 3,900 m.a.s.l.), where we will visit its archaeological complex and walk through a community that has preserved its living culture despite the pressures of the modern world. At its textile centers, you will watch women dressed in traditional clothing carry out the full process of spinning and dyeing wool using natural dyes, an authentic cultural experience that is rare to find anywhere else.
