INTRODUCTION
Throughout the tour you will enjoy the landscape a lot! First we will reach the Malaga Pass, the highest point, and then we will begin to descend through a wonderful valley, until reaching Santa Maria and later Santa Teresa villages. The spot where the Cocalmayo Thermal Baths are located is currently one of the main tourist destinations in the Region, so a great day is guaranteed. There you can enjoy the hot springs. This magnificent place is located in the middle of a beautiful subtropical jungle landscape and consists of 3 large pools with crystal clear, transparent waters coming from the underground. After continuing our tour for 45 more minutes, we will arrive at our Majestic Sky Domes Eco-lodge, along the way you will discover the magic and charm of this subtropical area, seeing local plantations such as: avocados, oranges, lemons, passion fruit, among others. These plantations are the livelihood of the local population, especially the coffee plantations, whose production is for export, so coffee is the main agricultural industry in the area. There, we will visit a small local farm, to do the Experiential Coffee Tour; you will be able to harvest, peel, grind and roast the grains and taste freshly prepared coffee, with that exquisite aroma of a freshly roasted drink. Likewise, you will have the chance to practice extreme sports such as Zipline and Extreme Bridge. Also, you will be in full contact with nature and the mountains; there is the option to gather around a campfire and admire an incredible starry sky, and at the end of the day, rest in a comfortable panoramic dome made of wood. Thus, your two-day trip will be a unique and unforgettable experience!
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Arrive at least one day before the Excursion, as it will serve as acclimatization prior to the Hike. Remember that Cusco City is at 3,400 meters above sea level.

DAY 1: CUSCO-MALAGA PASS-COCALMAYO HOT SPRINGS-SANTA TERESA-ECO-LODGE MAJESTIC SKY DOMES

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO CITY-MALAGA PASS-COCALMAYO HOT SPRINGS-SANTA TERESA-ECO LODGE MAJESTIC SKY DOMES
We will begin this incredible tour with a departure scheduled for 7:30 am, on our vehicular transportation from Regocijo Square. On the route we will pass through the village of Ollantaytambo, and after 2 hours and 30 minutes of traveling on a paved road, we will reach the Malaga Pass (4,330 meters above sea level/14,200 feet) – highest point of the route-, place where we will make our first stop for a good drink and photos. Then, continuing with our transportation for 2 hours and 30 more minutes, we will arrive at the village of Santa Teresa at around 1:00 pm, for lunch. Afterwards, in our transport and for 15 more minutes we will arrive at the Cocalmayo Hot Springs, where you can enjoy the thermo-medicinal waters for about 2 hours. This place is located in the middle of a beautiful subtropical jungle landscape and consists of 3 large pools with crystal clear, transparent waters coming from the underground; the water temperature varies between 38° and 45° degrees Celsius. The resort has men’s and women’s locker rooms, showers, and swimsuit rental stations. These medicinal waters are attributed healing properties for skin problems, rheumatism or joint pain, being at the same time a natural source of hydromassage and relaxation. If you want to cool your body, you can access the icy waterfalls from the Uripata lagoon, located next to the hot pools. After enjoying this wonderful place, we will return to our transportation and ride on a road for 50 minutes to arrive at the Eco-Lodge at 5:30 pm. Upon arrival, you will go into your Private Domes and in the evening we will have a delicious dinner. Then, surrounded by nature and mountains, there is the option to gather around a campfire and admire an incredible starry sky. At the end of this great day you will sleep in a comfortable room in our Wooden Dome.
DAY 2: ECO LODGE MAJESTIC SKY DOMES (ACTIVITIES)-SANTA TERESA-MALAGA PASS-CUSCO CITY
This second day will be full of emotions! After a good breakfast we will leave the lodge, to explore and enjoy the surroundings, so we will be able to see local plantations such as: avocados, oranges, lemons, passion fruit, among others. These plantations are the livelihood of the local population, especially coffee plantations for export, making it the main agricultural industry in the area. There we will visit a small local farm, to do the Experiential Coffee Tour; you will harvest, peel, grind and roast your own coffee and then savor it freshly brewed, with that exquisite aroma of a freshly roasted and ground drink. You will greatly enjoy this experience! Then we will walk for about 15 minutes to the adventure zone; upon arrival there is an instructional talk by a member of the staff, who will share all the information required to do the Zipline. This will give you perspective on the experience you are about to have. So, you will start with the zipline over the canyon (here we have 4 cables, which make a total of 1,200 meters/3,900 feet along which you will fly). The longest one is about 400 meters high above the Salkantay River! You will also walk across the canyon on a challenging Extreme Bridge. The entire adventure circuit lasts 1 hour and a half; the departure and arrival points are platforms on the ground and some aerial platforms installed on the mountain. The maximum sliding speed along the cables is 60 km/h or 37 miles/h. After enjoying this great experience we will return to the Lodge. When arriving there at our Eco-Lodge, take the opportunity to relax and enjoy the facilities: you can rest on the hammocks, listen to the music in the lobby, enjoy a drink in the bar, and of course savor our lunch, at around 2:00 pm. We then return on our transportation to Cusco City. The estimated time of arrival is 9:00 pm.

3. HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP THE GUIDE?
Tips are not mandatory, there is no exact amount. Only if you wish, at the end of the tour you can give tips for the tour guides, cooks and porters. As you can see, this is something additional and totally voluntary, really what you consider will be greatly appreciated by our Staff.
4. WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE ON THE ROUTE?
Weather is very unpredictable in Cusco and the jungle, it is impossible to say exactly what kind of weather you will encounter during the Tour. No matter what month you travel in, make sure to have waterproof clothing like a jacket or a good rain poncho at hand.
During dry season (April to November), early mornings are cloudy and can be cold. As the morning hours pass, the clouds clear and the Sun comes out, so it can be quite hot. Sun protection and a good hat are essential. However, keep in mind that it can sometimes be rainy in June and sunny in December.
During rainy season (from mid-November to mid-April), there are some pourings. However, don’t be surprised if some days are sunny this season. February is the busiest month, so we do not recommend traveling during this month.
5. IF I HAVE ALREADY PAID MY FIRST FEE AND DECIDE TO CANCEL, WILL I BE REFUNDED?
Unfortunately No. We will not be able to make any type of refund or change dates for Tours that are paid in Parts. All Prepayments of USD$200.00 are not refundable or transferable, since this money will be invested immediately in all the Procedures and Reservations necessary to carry out the Tour.
We will not be able to make any type of refund, but we can change the date or change the tour, as long as on the cancellation date your tickets to archaeological sites have not been purchased.
