For 13 days, we will take you on an unforgettable tour that begins in the lively metropolis of Lima and ends at the mystical ruins of Machu Picchu. Our trip begins in Lima, the Peruvian capital, where we will explore its historical monuments, its vibrant markets and exquisite gastronomy. From there, towards Ica, to venture into the impressive sand dunes and enjoy pisco (Peruvian national drink) in a unique sensory experience.

We will continue towards the coast, until Paracas, a paradise of marine life. Then, we head to Lima and fly to Arequipa, the White City, surrounded by majestic volcanoes and famous for its impressive colonial architecture.

From Arequipa, we will enter the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world and see the majestic flight of the mighty condor. Afterwards, we go to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, to explore the floating islands of Uros and Taquile, home to ancient cultures.

Finally, Cusco City, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, where we will immerse ourselves in its rich history and culture. Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Peru + Lima City Tour:

Arrival in Lima and transfer to the hotel.
Register in Lima accommodations

Day 2: Lima: Half Day City Tour: Colonial and Modern Town

Visit the most notable places in Lima and let yourself be enchanted by its charm and tradition. Start this tour with a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD. Get to know Colonial Lima by visiting its traditional historic downtown, appreciate the beauty of its Plaza de Armas (Main Square), the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace and its imposing Cathedral. We will visit an important convent in the city.

Witness the city’s modernity while taking a tour of the residential and financial San Isidro district and finally get an incomparable view of the Pacific Ocean, from the touristic district of Miraflores.

Day 3: Lima/Ica: Sandpits & Sandboarding.

At the scheduled time, departure to the bus station to head towards Ica city. Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the Huacachina Oasis, where we will experience the excitement of touring the Ica desert and “flying” over the golden and elevated dunes on a powerful buggy, an overflow of adrenaline that will make this experience an adventure you will never forget.
To finish, the vehicle will go to the top of a large dune, where the guide-instructor will show you how to practice sandboarding; Once at the top you will be able to safely enjoy this sport by sliding on the sand.
Ending the day, we go to the bus station and take a bus to Paracas, where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Paracas – Ballestas Islands /Lima.

Enjoy the maritime and ecological wealth of Peru… embark early in the morning on a fast glider over the waters of the Pacific, to discover the Ballestas Islands, group of islands that are home to important marine fauna, including large colonies of guano birds, Humboldt penguins and sea lions, among other species.
Prepare your camera to take magnificent photographs of the biodiversity of the area, as well as the famous Paracas Candelabra, which can be seen on the way to the Islands. Return to Paracas, free time for activities of your own interest.
At a scheduled time, transfer to the bus station, embark back to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Lima – Arequipa: Half Day Tour of the City, Visit to Santa Catalina Convent.

At the scheduled time, transfer in Lima to board your flight to Arequipa.
Arrival in Arequipa. Assistance and transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, let yourself be captivated by the beautiful “White City”, named for its architectural constructions with volcanic stone and ashlar; get to know its Main Square, appreciate its cathedral and colonial churches, make a stop at the Carmen Alto and Yanahuara Viewpoints to get the postcard photo of the city. Finally, tour the Santa Catalina Convent, visiting its cloisters, cells, ashlar fountains with gardens and narrow alleys.

Day 6: Arequipa/Colca Valley.

Today we will leave very early towards the amazing Colca canyon. This tour invites you to enjoy admirable Andean landscapes and closely appreciate the majestic flight of the condor in the Colca Canyon, deemed the deepest in the world. Embark on a trip of approximately 4 hours to reach Chivay, the first village in the Colca Valley; during the journey enjoy magnificent views of the area, adorned by imposing volcanoes, large wetlands, snow-capped mountains and lagoons habitat to various Andean birds; Once in Chivay, replenish your energy with a delicious lunch (not included). Free afternoon for activities of your own interest.

Day 7: Colca Valley/Puno.

Appreciate a beautiful Andean sunrise and take a tour along the Colca Canyon to the Cruz del Cóndor, a point from where we can observe the elegant flight of these giant birds, whose wings extend up to 3 meters; admire its majestic flight and get an excellent view of the Colca Canyon, a unique chance for fantastic photographs. Later we return to Chivay village for a comforting lunch (not included). In the afternoon we board a tourist bus to Puno city; upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel.

Day 8: Puno – Lake Titicaca (Uros and Taquile Islands)

Sail the waters of Lake Titicaca, considered the highest navigable one in the world (3,810 meters above sea level). We then visit the island of the Uros, an Aymara ethnic group that lives on floating islands, built with bulrush; then we continue the tour along the lake, to Taquile Island to appreciate one of the most beautiful Andean landscapes, with abundant hills and archaeological remains. In Taquile the main activity is textiles, the garments are made with advanced weaving techniques and show designs taken from their daily lives. Finally, enjoy a pleasant typical lunch, prepared with native ingredients in a local restaurant, then embark back to the hotel.

Day 9: Puno/Cusco “The Route of the Sun”

Board a comfortable tourist bus and cross beautiful Andean landscapes, until Cusco City. On the way you will visit great attractions such as the Pukara village, where you will have a guided tour of the site museum, to appreciate archaeological remains of the Andean cultures from the High Plane (Altiplano). Then we will arrive at La Raya, the highest point of the Tour (4,335 meters above sea level), and have about 10 minutes to take photographs; after, we head to the Sicuani village for a typical lunch. We continue with the tour, visiting the archaeological center of Raqchi, an Inca building made for the Creator God Wiracocha.
We will also visit the Andahuaylillas village to admire the San Pedro Church, also known as the Sistine Chapel of America. After, arrival in Cusco City and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10: Cusco – Half Day City Tour & Archaeological Parks.

Free morning for activities of your interest.
In the afternoon, admire the wonderful pre-Hispanic and colonial legacy in Cusco City, an interesting tour in which you can visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, ancient place of worship to the Sun God of the Incas and on which the current Santo Domingo Convent was built, and contemplate the beauty of the Plaza de Armas (Main Square).
Later, tour the surroundings of the city, admire the mighty Sacsayhuaman Fortress and the amazingness of its walls, comprised of enormous stones assembled with great precision; visit the Kenko shrine, the Puka Pukara watchtower and finally Tambomachay, an ancient Inca site for worshiping of water deities.

Day 11: Cusco City/Sacred Valley.

Get to know the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a picturesque tour where you can appreciate important archaeological remains, landscapes and traditions. Visit the Awanacancha, a center for promotion of Andean textiles and where you can observe different South American camelids up close; then visit the Pisac village and its handicraft market where you can shop, as well as experience the traditions of its people. Admire the fascinating archaeological park of Pisac, nestled at the top of a mountain and then travel by bus along the right bank of the Vilcanota River, through different villages of the Sacred Valley, until Urubamba City, to enjoy a comforting lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

In the afternoon continue your tour visiting the spectacular Ollantaytambo Fortress, walk through its typical streets and ascend to the top of the fortress, to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Day 12: Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu/Cusco City.

The best time to visit each destination may vary, but in general, the dry season, from May to September is ideal for Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu, while Ica can be visited all year round, due to its desert climate.
